LEA26 -- Wrecks by Gem Preiz

"WRECKS" is the second part (out of 2) of the exhibition "HERITAGE" which I shall present on LEA 26 between January and June, 2016.

What shall we bequeath to our successors? What future do we prepare for them? The question becomes more and more a concern, after the conference of Paris on the climate, and in the first years of a 21st century which as the formers, begins with deadly confrontations.

"WRECKS" will be opened on March 7th. 15 high resolution fractals, deliberately futuristic, tell a journey in the space and come along with texts extracted from logbook and personal mails written by the captain of a spaceship which leaves the Earth. Overall, it gives a vision of the future of our planet, which matches the destiny of the narrator, and where the visitor's walk winds until its term from room to room.

As in all my recent exhibitions, I chose pieces of music which emphasize the atmosphere of the works. I strongly recommend you to listen to the following url while visiting, and to loop on it if you stay long enough. For the opening the music will be on the stream.

Hints :
- To access the exhibition, proceed through the glowing blue door
- In darkness, it could be uneasy to find your way.  Keep in mind to systematically walk between the fractal and the related text boards, along the blue dots.

Enjoy your visit
