Ultraviolet Alter and Tyrehl Byk team up again to bring you their performance piece: "Multiples" on Sunday March 25th at 2:00 PM SLT at LEA 13. This performance will mark the beginning of development of the installation piece "Almost Flat Land" which is one of twenty installations by a new group of artists whose work will appear in the LEA sims over the course of the next 5 months.
During "Multiples", Ultraviolet and Tyrehl will work in tandem, each creating a unique set of sounds and visuals that are invented and assembled in an organic, improvisational mode as opposed to a planned and scripted linear event. In response to Ultraviolet's layering of sound, Tyrehl will begin with simple visuals, that will multiply and overlap, becoming ever more complex and dense as it grows to fill the area and surround the audience members Ultimately a tipping point is reached and it is all destroyed, leaving a void which will become a ground for the next series of increasings.
Space in the sim will be available on a first come, first served basis and the population will be limited in order to give the audience the best experience. The sim will open to the public at 1:30 PM for early arrivals. Audience members are asked to please leave all heavily scripted items at home in order to keep lag in the sim to a minimum.
