LEA MONTH OF MACHINIMA FOR JANUARY -- & SOME CHANGES AHEAD FOR LEA MACHINIMA

Terrific films organized around the theme "Black and White" will be screened at the fabulous LEA Theater on Wednesday, January 4, 5PM. Come and see them with the machinima community (always a fun crowd). Hopefully some of the filmmakers will be there to talk with L1Aura Loire about their films and machinima-making, and together we'll celebrate the art of machinima, machinima art, and machinima that showcases art.

We'll also celebrate the fine run we've had with these monthly screenings, and bring this format to a close. The Month of Machinima playlist on youtube, of all the selected films, has 78 unique, creative, innovative glimpses into what can be visualized and experienced with machinima, grouped loosely around the monthly themes that provide continuity among the selections. When I add the ten films for January, which was one of the strongest submission fields we've had, there will be 88 films and over 5 hours of machinima. Something to make all of us proud.

There will be some changes to the LEA machinima initiative happening soon, and we have to stop the monthly treadmill of submissions and screenings in order to figure out the next steps. So, we will NOT be accepting submissions for February, and as of now, the current monthly format is suspended.
