LEA SoVA presents: Estate Manager 'Seminar': The Very Basics
WHEN?
August 31 and September 1, at 2pm SLT and 3PM SLT. Four times in all.
WHO?
Solo Mornington will be facilitating the event. It is open to anyone.
WHAT IS IT?
'Seminar' is in quotes because it's not really a class, or a lecture, or a Q/A. It's a hands-on walkthrough of some EM tasks related to the LEA.
If you've ever wanted to see the Region/Estate window without all the check boxes grayed out, then this is the seminar for you. Participants will be given Estate Manager status on one of the LEA estates. We will then go through a few tasks, examine a few land settings, and talk about the justification for them.
This is a somewhat free-form event so bring questions. There will be four meeting times: 2pm SLT and 3pm SLT on Aug 31 and Sept 1. Since there can only be ten estate managers at a time, that's the class size. However, repeat and overflow attendees are welcome even though you won't be an EM. We'll try to give everyone a chance.
All experience levels are invited. Especially if you're super-smart and can answer questions better than Solo can.
TOPICS WE HOPE TO COVER:
- Reclaiming and transferring land
- Basic metrics (scripts, physics, lag audit)
- Region Console
- Very very short intro to pathfinding
HOW TO ATTEND:
Send Solo Mornington a notecard, letting him know which time slot you'd like to attend. He'll get back to you with details about availability.
